Mom’s memory of this day in 1971

Later that night heading back to New Orleans, we had a wreck when an 18 wheeler turned left in front of us. The driver was drunk and later arrested. We were in the Volkswagen bug and thought we were going under the truck. It was not our time. Dad put on the brakes very hard and we hit the back two wheels of the truck stretched across Airline Hwy. We had even said goodbye to each other and we tried to protect Liz and Todd. I did not know but I was pregnant for Seth. Miracles are in God’s hands.

• We don’t know the exact date of the party, but it is safe to assume it was in October of 1971.
• Walter Eisworth is the cameraman! 🙂
• I got the address wrong in the title card of the video…it was actually 3715 Winnebago St.
