April 14, 1974 – Easter Morning

Mom sewed the Holly-Hobby-Little-House-on-the-Prairie outfit for me. I have no recollection of this dress and bonnet, but I think it wasn’t too long before I started objecting to this kind of dress up! 🙂

Mom never tires of telling the story of how when we were shopping for the materials for this particular dress, that I stole some buttons from the TG&Y by hiding them in my underwear. I remember they were pretty pearlescent buttons.

Mom marched me back into the store and made me apologize. I remember that, too.
